Job Description The Busser is responsible for maintaining a clean & inviting restaurant facility by clearing/wiping tables, stocking products, performing housekeeping functions and engaging with our guests to ensure their needs are attended to.
Essential Job Functionso Responsible for following designated opening/closing procedures for the restaurant, to include housekeeping functions for restaurant and restroom areas.
o Ensure all food items are stocked and alert manager to items which are out of stocko Complete side work duties to ensure the restaurant is ready for serviceo Engage with guests, offering assistance as needed to ensure their needs are meto Clean and clear tables efficiently, pre-bussing items at busy times to be able to turn tables quicklyo Maintain cleanliness of bus stations to include removal of trash, recycling o Move tables, chairs, bus stations to facilitate housekeeping and snow removalo Complete tasks and projects delegated by your manager and assist other departments as business volumes and staff levels demando Other duties as assigned Qualifications o Must be over 16 years of age o Prior guest service experience is preferredo Prior work experience in a commercial kitchen is preferredo Ability to communicate and follow oral or written directions in English is required Additional Information Supervision Given and ReceivedSupervision Given:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Supervision Received:
Works under direct supervision of Restaurant Manager.
Tasks are assigned according to specific procedures, and work is checked frequently.
Instruction, advice and assistance are readily available.
Work Environment and Physical DemandsAbility to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, walk or be on your feet for extended periods of time.
Regularly work in wet, hot and humid conditions for extended periods of time and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces.
Must be able to continually lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs.
