Attend national trade shows. Conduct site tours and fam trips. Develop client relationships. This sales manager position covers weddings and corporate groups.
Specific Duties and
Responsibilities:
Aggressively pursue any leads for profitable business opportunities for the Breckenridge properties, concentrating on the wedding and corporate markets. This includes opportunities for the National and Regional Markets.
Nurture relationships with our key lead sources; in addition to participation in marketing programs and appropriate meetings. This also means ongoing promotional programs and seasonal FAMS/Get-togethers with their staff.
Assist in the smooth transition of a group from contract stage to a successful in-house experience through communication with the Conference Services Manager and other departments. This includes but is not restricted to:
A. Accurate forecasting to determine staffing and service levels.
B. Tracking of group pick-up/fall out to maximize occupancy.
C. Working with Reservations Department to monitor group blocks.
D. Coordinate any pre-conference meetings with various departments.
E. Close coordination with Reservations Department and Conference Services Manager regarding all details of contracts and policies.
Perform 25 prospecting sales calls per day and maintain regular follow-up on all files using Hotel Sales Pro as the tracing tool.
Close sales on business, generate contracts, establish trace system in property management system for follow up on due dates such as deposits and attrition release dates. Maintenance of trace system and database records for all files is essential.
Meet with group contact upon arrival and assist Conference Services Manager with servicing the group while on property.
Responsible for all written documentation to clients from initial proposal to contract. Ensure that appropriate departments are copied on a timely basis. Files must be kept up to date with most accurate contract information, rooming lists, arrival times, VIP information, etc.
Review all new bookings with Conference Services Manager, catering company and appropriate departments.
Compile monthly reports, ie. Monthly sales re-cap report from Act - which will include a listing of all sales calls made for the month, group revenue booked for the month, and any site tours and meetings.
Prepare weekly updates on summer and winter group tentative lists as well as group definite excel report, and all group advisories and VIP lists.
As assigned, attend trade shows, industry functions and professionally represent the Breckenridge - WVR properties at community events.
Keep abreast of competition, and share creative ideas of strategies with peers.
Attend appropriate staff meetings, monthly sales meetings and internal functions.
Maintain compliance with Wyndham Vacation Rentals policies and regulations as well as industry standards of professionalism and integrity.
Perform all other necessary responsibilities as directed by supervisory management.
