Senior Resort Controller

Sr. Resort Controller, Breckenridge, CO: Coordinate with finance teams at UK parent company and international affiliates to prepare consolidated financial reports, and provide records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability and other financial activities related to companys business activities throughout North America. Analyze financial information and prepare financial and accounting reports using internal Sapphire sales and accounting systems. Review and reconcile ledger entries and financial and accounting data, including bank and resort cash movements, supplier invoices, and payment authorization, for multiple resorts in USA and Canada to ensure compliance with parent companys policies and industry standards. Analyze sales and generated margins to assist with income projections and budget planning. Maintain, reconcile, and review Balance Sheet accounts. Act as point of contact for POS (Point of Sale) systems for all resorts in USA and Canada. Work with internal and external business partners to maintain databases and accounting systems, ensuring that all data, coding and pricing is correct and available to resort staff. Create Access and other relational databases, including macros and complex formulae, for use in analyzing and tracking accounting information. Drive continual process improvement for accounting activities and systems and ensure data integrity of internal sales database. Control accounting system processing, including user support and system maintenance for full product life cycle.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field and 2 years experience in multi-currency and international accounting policies, including cross border intercompany transactions between US, Canada, UK and Europe abd rekated taxation rules. Experience must include creating Access databases, including macros and formulae project management experience in PRINCE2 Foundation. Must have ACCA, CIMA, or ACA certificate. In lieu of Bachelors degree, will accept 2 addtional years experience as stated. Must be on-call and available to work weekends.
