Snowmakers will assist in the production of machine made snow while striving for quality, safety, and efficiency to ensure an exceptional experience for our guests.

The job duties of┬ Intermediate Snowmakers┬ include, but are not limited to:



  • Performs visual inspections and routine maintenance of snow guns and hoses, including setup and tear down.

  • Recognizes unsafe equipment and /or working conditions, corrects or advises more senior staff

  • Assists with or responsible┬  for loading , transporting and setting up snowmaking equipment in specific mountain conditions

  • Develops a basic understanding┬  of control /monitoring system

  • Trains entry level staff on snowmaking logistics, equipment operation, snow quality checks and safety

Intermediate Level Requirements:



  • Previous snowmaking experience

  • Must be able to lift up to 75lbs.

  • Fluent in English

  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record

  • Previous experience driving┬ ATVs, snowmobiles and other equipment preferred

  • Ability to work with various hand and power tools

  • Comfortable working around heavy equipment

  • Ability to work outside in adverse conditions

  • Adhere to Departmental and Vail Resorts safety standards

The Advanced Snowmaker is responsible for transport, set up, and safe, efficient operation of snowmaking equipment in multiple locations. This individual will demonstrate understanding of plant facilities and operational variables including control/monitoring systems. Additional responsibilities include (but are not limited to):



  • Recommends adjustments to improve snow┬ quality and efficiency

  • Corrects unsafe working conditions

  • Assists Leads in training and development of entry and intermediate staff

Advanced Level Requirements:



  • Valid Driver's License

  • Snowmobile / ATV┬ experience preferred

  • 2 seasons experience in snowmaking

  • Supervisory experience preferred

  • Must be able to lift up to 75lbs

  • Fluent in English

  • Ability to work with various hand and power tools

  • Comfortable working around heavy equipment

  • Ability to work outside in adverse conditions

  • Adhere to Departmental and Vail Resorts safety standards

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
