Job Summary: 


 


The Finance Team is committed to Building Leaders and Driving Value.  The Mountain Finance team drives comprehensive financial planning, forecasting and analysis to enable the company to align its resources with the achievement of its strategic goals- both long term and short term.  The Mountain Finance team works closely with the resort COO and senior leadership team, along with the larger enterprise-wide Mountain and Corporate Finance teams in Broomfield.


 


The Director of Finance €“ Breckenridge role is a key member of the resort senior leadership team and leads the resort financial planning processes (capital and operating) and drives profitable growth through financial discipline and business insights.  The role is located at Breckenridge and reports to the Sr. Director of Finance in Broomfield that oversees Colorado, Utah and the central FP&A support team. 


Primary responsibilities:


 



  • Leads the core financial planning processes at the resort (strategic planning, annual capital budget, annual operating budget, and monthly forecasts)

  • Ensures strong financial controls and process compliance at the resorts

  • Provides resort level financial analysis for the COO's and business managers to aid in real-time and longer-term strategic decision making processes

  • Leads and develops the finance team at the resort

  • Ensures close business partnership with the operational teams

  • Owns the Vail Mountain financial forecasts and budgets to ensure there is alignment on priorities and business outlook

  • Work closely with line of business leaders to support operations and drive profitability - Identifies areas of improvement and opportunities at the resort and proactively communicates with managers, COO's and Mountain Finance team with recommendations

  • Supports key finance and/or resort strategic projects and initiatives to drive process improvement and deliver deeper insights on critical business decisions

  • Continuously look to improve financial accuracy and financial business knowledge within the resort

  • Active member of the Senior Leadership Team at the resort

  • Exemplifies strong leadership competencies of Re-Imagine, Out Front, Drive, Develop, Connect and Passion


 


Requirements:


 


8+ years of experience (or 4 years with MBA or other graduate degree) in finance or accounting with demonstrated success in financial modeling and analysis.   The ideal candidate would have experience in financial planning and analysis functions, including annual budget, capital budgeting, long-term strategic planning and resource allocation processes.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
